The History of Townley Parker Lodge 1032

Established in 1864, Townley Parker Lodge No. 1032 is one of the enduring Lodges of the Province of West Lancashire, with a proud history spanning more than 160 years. Throughout that time, the Lodge has remained steadfast in its commitment to the principles of Freemasonry. Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, while fostering a spirit of friendship, integrity and service within both the Craft and the wider community.
The Lodge was consecrated on 23 November 1864, during a period of remarkable growth in Victorian Freemasonry. It takes its name from Robert Townley Parker, a prominent Lancashire landowner, Member of Parliament, Deputy Lieutenant and former Guild Mayor of Preston. An eminent Freemason of his era, Robert Townley Parker was widely respected for his leadership, philanthropy and dedication to the Province of West Lancashire, making his name a fitting choice for a Lodge founded upon strong Masonic values.
